AI Consulting

Strategic AI guidance,
not just automation builds.

Before you buy tools or hire an AI lead, you need a plan. QONQA's AI Consulting engagements help marketing leadership figure out where AI actually fits — and where it doesn't — before a single workflow gets built.

Where AI Adoption Stalls

Most teams don't have an
automation problem. They have
a decision-making problem.

By the time a team calls us, the issue usually isn't a lack of AI tools — it's too many of them, with no plan tying them together.

01

Tool Sprawl

Five different AI tools bought by five different people, none of them talking to each other.

02

No Ownership

Nobody on the team is accountable for whether AI initiatives are actually working.

03

Pilots That Stall

A promising prototype that never gets budget, buy-in, or a path to production.

04

No Guardrails

AI used in client-facing work with no review process, brand check, or compliance step.

Our Framework

The four things every
AI plan needs to get right

We use this framework with every consulting client, whether they're evaluating their first AI tool or trying to rein in their tenth.

Strategy

Where AI Fits

Mapping AI opportunities against your actual marketing roadmap and business goals — not against what's trending.

Governance

Guardrails

Review processes, brand safety checks, and compliance steps so AI output never goes out unchecked.

Stack

Vendor-Agnostic Picks

Tool and platform recommendations matched to your budget and existing stack — not the tools we happen to resell.

Capability

Team Readiness

The skills, roles, and structure your team actually needs to run the plan after we leave.

What You Get

A plan leadership can
actually approve

Consulting engagements end with a concrete set of decisions and documents — not a slide deck that sits unread. Every deliverable is built to be handed to leadership, finance, or your board.

AI Opportunity Assessment

An honest audit of where AI could realistically help across your marketing org, and where it's not worth the effort yet.

Tool & Vendor Evaluation

Vendor-agnostic recommendations matched to your budget, stack, and team size.

Governance Framework

Written policies for review, brand safety, and compliance so AI use stays inside clear guardrails.

Roadmap & Business Case

A sequenced plan with cost and ROI projections leadership can actually sign off on.

Team Enablement Plan

What skills and roles you need, and how to build or hire for them over the next 6-12 months.

Ongoing Advisory

Optional retainer-based strategic check-ins as your stack, team, and the AI landscape evolve.

How It Works

A five-step engagement,
start to sign-off

01

Discovery

Interviews with stakeholders across marketing, sales, and ops to understand goals, constraints, and current AI usage.

02

Assessment

Mapping your current tools, workflows, and data — and identifying where the real gaps are.

03

Strategy Design

Building the roadmap, governance framework, and business case around what we found.

04

Leadership Review

Presenting findings and recommendations directly to decision-makers, with room to challenge and adjust.

05

Ongoing Advisory

Staying available as you execute the plan, so the roadmap adjusts as reality does.

Who This Is For

Built for teams making
a real AI decision

Scaling In-House Teams

Marketing leadership at growing companies who need a real plan before the next budget cycle, not another tool trial.

Agencies & Consultancies

Teams advising multiple clients who need a repeatable framework for AI recommendations, not a one-off opinion.

Teams Evaluating Vendors

Anyone about to sign a contract with an AI vendor who wants an unbiased second opinion first.

FAQ

Common questions

How is this different from your automation builds?

Our Services engagements build a specific automation system. AI Consulting is the layer above that — figuring out what should get built, in what order, and under what guardrails, before any building starts. Many clients start with consulting and move into a build engagement afterward.

Do you recommend specific AI tools?

Yes, but we're not resellers — our recommendations are matched to your budget and stack, not to a partner commission. If the right answer is "you don't need a new tool," we'll say that too.

How long does an engagement take?

Most strategy engagements run four to six weeks from discovery to leadership review. Ongoing advisory continues on a retainer basis after that, if you want it.

Do you work with teams that already have some AI tools in place?

Most of our consulting clients do. Usually the challenge isn't a lack of tools — it's making sense of the ones already in place and deciding what to keep, cut, or connect.

What if we're not ready to build anything yet?

That's exactly what this service is for. You don't need a build plan to start a consulting engagement — you need a decision-maker willing to sit through discovery and assessment.
